Activities: Physical and Spiritual

We meet regularly for physical activities. Physical activities profit little. Let us get that little too.

We also meet for Bible study and worship that have eternal value. 

 

TEAM LEADER

 

The lead minister, Akintayo is of the Nigerian Baptist Convention heritage. He believed the Gospel, surrendered his life to the LORD Jesus Christ and was baptised by immersion at the age of ten. He lived his teenage life as a Christian, attended discipleship programmes, and fellowshipped with many believers both young and old as he continued to grow in the knowledge of the LORD Jesus.

 

Tayo was an active member of the Baptist Student Fellowship in Nigeria, once a Bible Study leader and later the president of the Fellowship branch at the College of Education Ila-Orangun where he studied Biology, Chemistry and Education. He later studied Theology at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Ogbomoso, taught religion and New Testament Literature at the same institution, and served as a church minister (pastor) in some local churches and the Evangelical Christian Chaplain in a university.

 

Prior to his relocation to the United Kingdom to study at Edinburgh University, he earned an MA in Philosophy of Religion where he wrote his dissertation on Antony Flew’s Freewill and Determination. His study of Flew’s early life before Flew became an atheist and his latter life as a distinguished Moral Philosopher posed a challenge to Tayo to want to inquire more about what the Church missed for Flew to have become an atheist at 15 but to later in his life at 86 wanted to be known as a deist. If what motivated Flew to change to a deist at 86 were there to fully explore at 15, maybe he would not have spent the major part of his life as an aithest. While moving from atheism to deism may look like a big jump, Tayo has had conversations with many adults at the City Centre of Leeds and saw them happily moving from atheism for deism within five minutes of their interaction. The atheitic pillar of so many professing athiests is lightweight while standing by Christ’s Cross. A few deists have also professed a genuine faith in Christ.

 

Tayo therefore wants more Christians to identify with young people as they explore spirituality and provide them a guidance to faith in Christ Jesus, the true Way of Salvation, especially those from traditionally Christian family or whose great grand parents were Christians.

 

Yet, all young people regardless of their family, religions and social backgrounds, with the permission of their parents are welcome to benefit from the Bible Club UK to support their search for true living spirituality.

Upcoming Events

Children outdoor summer activities in various parks in the cities where the Bible Club meet. Each city can now start a branch of Bible Club by requesting for an official application  for consideration and get ready for the required training and criminal record check.
